In 2016 the Church commissioned LDN Architects to undertake a full Strategic Study of the Auld Kirk to identify and cost a programme of repairs to the fabric and an upgrading of facilities and access. The work includes a major overhaul of the roofs, repointing of the walls both externally and internally, drainage works, new heating system and disabled toilet, etc. A copy of the Study will be made available to the successful consultant.

The indicative costs for the repair and upgrading works to the Kirk is around 300,000 GBP.
