Construction of a cable-stayed opening footbridge to accommodate pedestrian/cycle movement across the River Clyde between Water Row in Govan and a new Pointhouse Quay extension adjacent to the Riverside Museum.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Construction of a cable-stayed opening footbridge to accommodate pedestrian/cycle movement across the River Clyde between Water Row in Govan and a new Pointhouse Quay extension adjacent to the Riverside Museum. The bridge will comprise a fixed north end span of 18m, a central rotating span of 67.5m and a south rotating end span of 28m.
Works include construction of a new sheet piled quay wall, construction of north and south bank landing areas including public realm works, street furniture, green infrastructure and lighting and provision of remote layby berth.

It is anticipated that the procurement will commence in August 2019 with publication of an ESPD.
Works are scheduled to commence in June 2020.
It is anticipated that the Form of Contract for the works will be the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (as amended by the Local Authority)
