After further discussion with Network Rail, Contractors are no longer required to submit an Option for extending the bridge span such that the bridge supports/piling are outwith the Network Rail boundary fenceline.
28/06/2018 10:55Network Rail - Indicative Possession Times

Network Rail have advised the following with respect to indicative potential opportunities for access on this section of their rail route :-

Weekend - 23:15 – 09:35
Sun/ Mon - 21:40 – 05:35
Mid-week - 23:15 – 05:35

Please note in order gain an indication of “working time” available, 45 mins should be deducted from either end of the times quoted in order allow for the putting place and removal of the required rail safety control measures.

It is anticipated that there will not be any engineering justification nor need to disrupt rail operations to facilitate the construction of the road over rail structure connected with the Inverness Campus project and as such will not be permitted. There will be no extended possessions offered from Network Rail.

Possessions should be booked at the earliest opportunity, currently notice periods for booking requests for access on this section of route is 10 – 16 weeks.
