Abstract: The University requires a Contractor to replace an existing constant air volume (CAV) laboratory ventilation system serving 30 fume cupboards throughout the Strathclyde Institute for Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) with a variable volume (VAV) supply and extract ventilation system.
The terms and conditions governing this contract will be the Standard Building Contract Without Quantities for use in Scotland (Nov 2011) (SBC/XQ/Scot (2011 Edition)) as amended by the ITT document on PCS-T.
Please note, there will be a site visit for this tender. The visit will be at 10am Robertson Building Foyer 27 Taylor Street Glasgow G4 0NR.
A maximum of 2 representatives per company are permitted to attend. To register your company's attendance, please send a message via the PCS-Tender message board.
Questions asked in the ESPD document (within the Qualification Envelope on PCS-Tender) will be assessed as pass/fail. The criteria that must be evidenced for Part 4C.1 includes examples that must include work within HE Institutions involving Science and Engineering labs (or similar Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences and Chemical industry), whereby the risks and challenges of public and student access to the building was present.

All ESPD Selection Criteria questions will be assessed on a pass/fail basis.

The Technical Assessment contained in the Technical Envelope on PCS-T will be scored by an evaluation team.

Exclusion grounds: economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.

Selection Criteria: Economic and Financial Standing

Please refer to Part 4B.1.2 - 4B.1.3 of the ESPD:

Bidders will be required to have a minimum 'general' yearly turnover of 560,000 GBP for the last three

years.

It is a requirement of this contract that bidders hold, or can commit to obtain prior to the commencement of any subsequently awarded contract, the types and levels of insurance indicated below:

Contractor should be a member of the Building Engineering Services Association (formally HVCA), and

will be required to provide evidence prior to contract award.

Selection Criteria: Manpower

Bidders will be required to confirm their average annual manpower for the last three years.

Bidders will be required to confirm the number of managerial staff for the last three years.

contract.
