Given the participating technologies, ideally external experts with experience in one or more of the following specialisms are sought to submit a bid to act as an assessor for the stage gate.

- Magnet and Linear Generator Specialist

- Water Hydraulic Specialist

- Gearbox Specialist

- Elastomeric Generator Specialist

- Wave Energy Specialist

In addition, all Bidders should be able to demonstrate that the proposed individual has experience of:

- Gate Reviews – participation in reviews to award high value projects (1M GBP+),

- Key Metric Assessment – assessment of the performance, availability, affordability or survivability of novel technologies, ideally for power conversion, in a wave energy, or related, context,

- Novel Technology Development – developing and managing TRL progression of novel technology.
