II.2.4) Description of the procurement

Dumfries and Galloway Council has a requirement for a secure access Public Wi-Fi to be provided within some of our public buildings across Dumfries and Galloway. These buildings currently have a corporate Wi-Fi access set up, however, it may be possible that some buildings will require to have only a public Wi-Fi connection.

The specific buildings and events that shall require connectivity are unknown, therefore a flexible arrangement is required. However, there are some specific sites that are known at this time which require connectivity imminently and they will be used to create scenarios for the purpose of setting the scope and can also be used to inform tender evaluation, these sites are:

- Dumfries Ice Bowl, Dumfries

- The Ryan Centre, Stranraer

- DG One Leisure Centre, Dumfries

- The North West Resource Centre, Dumfries

- Kirkcudbright Art Gallery, Kirkcudbright

- Oasis Centre, Dumfries

- Youth Beatz Music Event, Dumfries

The sites above are anticipated to be the first tranche of works issued under this framework agreement. However, this work is not guaranteed.
