Provision of technical support to rural land managers:- revenue opportunities from outdoor recreatio
Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park Authority (NPA) are looking to identify a consultant with a strong track record of providing sound business advice on revenue generation from outdoor recreation, including knowledge of associated access issues, to land managers. This is required both as part of the NPA’s Whole Farm/Estate Management Planning initiative and as otherwise by their Conservation and Visitor Experience teams. This work falls under both Conservation and Visitor Experience priorities for action in the National Park Partnership Plan 2012-2017, which aim to help land-based businesses become more sustainable, whilst improving visitor facilities and management within the National Park. Successful consultants will work directly with both NPA staff and land managers to provide services ranging from general advice on appropriate outdoor recreation and access enterprises for individual farms and estates, through to carrying out full feasibility studies, as well as providing advice and support for applications to grant schemes and other financial support.
