Abstract: Glow is Scotland's national education platform. It provides a set of integrated online tools, services and resources within a secure, trusted environment. Glow was commissioned in 2005 with RM Education plc as sole supplier on a five year contract, with options to extend the contract by up to two years. The contract with RM finishes on 15 September 2012. In order to facilitate the transition to the successor service to Glow, the Scottish Government intends to extend the existing contract for a period of 15 months.
